Ultrasound

Ultrasounds are available at Peace Medical Center in our Greenville and Simpsonville locations

An ultrasound is a non-invasive test that does not use radiation to create images but instead uses sound waves to create an image called a sonogram

Ultrasounds can be used in a variety of locations to include the abdomen, pelvis, soft mass, knee and many more

Procedure takes about 15 to 30 minutes to be completed

What to Expect During your Ultrasound

Wear loose clothing as your sonographer will be using a transducer, a wand to send sound waves, and a gel will be applied on your skin around the area in question

The pictures will be recorded and sent to the Radiologist for results

Once completed, you will be assisted off the exam table and requested to stop by the front desk to schedule your follow visit with your physician
