Arterial Brachial Ultrasound

An Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) is a noninvasive procedure used to check for Peripheral Artery Disease which can cause leg pain when walking and increase your risk of heart attack or stroke.

The cause of Peripheral Artery disease is narrowing of the arteries reducing the blood flow to your limbs

The ABI involves using a small ultrasound device and blood pressure cuff to compare the blood pressure in your arms with the blood pressure in your legs

The ABI test will take approximately 15 minute to complete

Results will be given to you doctor and discussed at our follow up office visit
